As a designer, writer, and entrepreneur, I’m obsessed with anything that is luxury, unique, or glamorous! I have a keen eye for style and love sharing all my ideas, muses, and projects with the rest of the design world! I love to travel along with Sophie, my mini Schnauzer whom I take on all my great adventures.

Is This Home a little too Crowded? – You be The Judge!
I came across this wonderful little home in Scotts Valley designed by Shannon Malone and thought, wow this is unique! The home surely is one of a kind, but it seems to me that there is way too much going on! Are the different patterns, and overstuffed rooms clashing with one another or is it just me? I would have personally toned down a lot of the accessories and tried to keep them minimal. What do you think is this a décor overload?

Fresh Lime Colors – A New Spring Decorating Trend
After a dark and gloomy winter season it’s time for us to open up our homes to fresh new hues that liven and brighten up our spaces. A new trend that I love is using citrus hues to welcome the gorgeous spring season to come! Spring is all about a new beginning, so use this rule throughout your own homes as well. Slather on a fresh coat of lime green or even mint on your walls and stick to white for the trim, moldings, and accessories within the space. Pairing this juicy hue with watermelon pink or even lemon yellow makes a mouthwatering combination.

Welcoming Famous Designer Jamie Herzlinger as our New Sponsor!
We are very excited today to feature the fabulous and much sought after interior designer Jamie Herzlinger as a new sponsor of Better Decorating Bible! Jamie has a hugely respected design firm called Herzlinger Interior Design and has even claimed her name in fashion as well! She was dubbed amongst the top fashion talents by Women’s Wear Daily and the New York Times. Her great aunt even started the millinery department for Mrs. Bergdorf – how interesting!
Her exuberant style in interior design has caught the eyes of clients nationwide. She was one of the designers at the Kip’s Bay Decorator Show House in New York City which we featured many times before on our site. One thing about Jamie’s style is that her classic and elegant interiors are truly are timeless and would still look super chic ten years from now.
One of my addictions recently is shopping at her online store called Jamie Shop where you can browse products from more than 400 top manufactures, request a quote, and get 30-40% off retail!
