Decorated for Barbie – Could You Live in This Home?

A clash of pink, zebra, plastic, and retro furniture all put together this eclectic home designed by interior decorator, Maria Barros. This home definitely has a girly, retro vibe to it and draws in a lot of light with it’s very faint color palette. It’s not for everyone as the style is very fashion forward and current – reminds me of decor for a modern boutique. I’m not sure if I could live in a home like this as I would be worried it would get too dirty too fast. A crisp white sofa? I just don’t know how long that would last in my home, especially with pets around. What do you think?

Decorating Your Home for a Bridal Brunch

Preparing a wedding this spring? Consider hosting a light bridal brunch for a few close friends and family. Snack on light snacks and sip green tea from fine bone china all while enjoying the warm spring season and fresh blooms all around. I could picture myself sitting here in my finest mint colored Chanel tweed suit taking tiny bites of the frosted cupcakes and sipping a cool iced tea. The bridal brunch hosted here was for a special client and a few friends for the bride and her fiancé. It was held in honor of their approaching wedding and to break in the new dining room décor designed by Charmean Neithart Interiors.

How to Decorate in French Provence Style

Provence continues to be one of the best hot spots for vacationers, making it a holiday no brainer. Not only can you enjoy the beautiful scenery, but you can also get some peace of mind while engaging yourself into the easy going French lifestyle.

One of the best ways the French relax at home is through their decorating. Easy on the eyes, casual, and practical French style is one look we ought to look more into. To get the look at home try using rustic wooden pieces for your kitchen table and chairs to get a look that’s down-to-earth and calming. Terra cotta tiles and earthly hues like white, yellow, beige, blue, and red are some of the French’s favorites.
