When IKEA came out with the VISKAFORS sofa I was super excited to try it out and see if I should purchase it for my next living room makeover. I took a trip downtown to my local IKEA and I wasn’t disappointed – the VISKAFORS sofa really is a statement sofa that would look perfect in a lot of homes, no matter what your decorating style. It has a deep soft seat which is comfortable and provides ample back support. According to many reviews, the sofa keeps it shape for many years down the road. This is one point that was super important to me, knowing from prior experience some IKEA sofas loose their shape overtime.

The VISKAFORS comes in a variety of different colors: black, green, beige and even real leather! The leather version of the sofa is quite beautiful, but according to some reviews the stretched leather has a grain print on it that looks fake to some reviewers. The leather is real, and this might even be the look that you are going for. It’s best to check out the sofa in person to see if this type of material would suite your decorating look.

What I love about the VISKAFORS sofa is that there are no cushions. A lot of sofas on the market today already have cushions built in, and then adding your own throw pillows ends up being too much. This sofa has none, so you can definitely dress it up with a throw blanket and throw pillow.

I really believe this sofa is a great addition to any home or apartment. The sizing is perfect, just over 76 inches long and 35 inches deep is a nice size for most apartments and homes. In fact, I think I will be putting this sofa on my wish list, the leather version looks tempting!
