Decorating Walk-In Closets – How to Get Started
If you think decorating your closet is over the top, think again. This exciting space is a great way to experiment with color and patterns. If you’ve been dying to try out that bright new chinoiserie wallpaper or that bold damask – this is the perfect place to do it. Even if you don’t have a walk-in, you can still follow these tips on giving your close the easiest makeover ever:
- Paint the inside of your closet an exciting hue that makes you smile like Caribbean blue or tangy orange
- Use a color or wallpaper you’ve always loved but never found the place to use
- Tired of painting? Use colorful boxes to brighten up your closet
- Wallpaper the insides of shelves and drawers for a personal touch
- Can’t afford custom built shelves? No sweat- buy a few bookshelves from Ikea and match them up side by side (second photo)
- Make it look bigger with ceiling to floor mirrors
- You can always keep it classic with white on white like the closets below
