Hottest Colors of the Season: 3 Shades of Green
Kick it up a notch this season with the powerful color of green! Think exciting shades like olive, emerald, and forest green. To get on the right track incorporate this bold hue throughout your home with fabrics, paint, and even accessories. When looking for complementary colors, try natural hues like yellow, brown, taupe, burnt orange, and beige.
The lush looking home below has it all – forest green in the dining room, olive curtains in the sitting room, and green bedding in the bedroom. For an eccentric look the designers even added a wild zebra rug for maximum impact. Wow!

Décor Eye Candy – Feast on These 11 Fabulous Spaces
Everyone likes to dream a little when they imagine their dream home, luscious garden, picture perfect view, or even their luxurious backyard pool. Whatever you dream about this weekend, you can take tips and ideas from these 11 fabulous spaces I’ve collected throughout the week. Most of these spaces have a few things in common: unexpected elegance with a hint of old-world décor. You can tell the designers love a modern look, but also like to keep it traditional by incorporating re-furbished antiques and delicate detailing on pillows, curtains, and upholstering.
So what’s their secret? If your dying to get this look at home, I have a quick fix: Buy a few antique pieces like an old armoire or Louis XVI chair and refurbish it with modern upholstering and a warm matching color. Try to avoid “of the moment” colors like electric orange or hot fuchsia that tend to go out of style quickly. Warm colors like gold and bronze paired with an antique finish are timeless colors that always look good.
If you feel your space still doesn’t have the “oomph” you are looking for, try creating a daring look to surprise your guests by incorporating wild animal prints. Slipping in an upholstered leopard chair or a vibrant zebra hide can completely change your whole look, making all the difference. Keep in mind that you always need to have one piece to really kick your decorating up a notch. Take a look:

Olive Green Bohemian Living Room and Library
Bohemian style is one of my favorites, so when I came across this chic library I just had to feature it on my blog. Unlike many other decorating styles, bohemian is a style that never fades and always looks on trend.
If you want to get the look try mixing and matching different patterns and colors, all why sticking to natural tones such as the olive green walls and beige furniture. Bring the outdoors in with natural elements like these rustic carved arm chairs or even a tree stump coffee table. The point is to create a relaxed atmosphere that brings a calm and welcoming aroma.
