Make Your Dining Room Burst with Energy!

When we think “bursting with energy” we think bright, bold, big, and beautiful! A dining room has got to make an lasting impression, especially if you have tons of guests over or if you have an open concept layout and your dining room is in full view. This space designed by Todd Alexander Romano screams “look over here!” and just calls for attention. A huge pineapple smack in the middle of the table makes an interesting conversation piece, and the lime green dining chairs actually works well with the eggplant purple walls. To spice up the whole look, Todd gave us a hint of zebra peaking out from the teeny tiny bench at the side. What a look!

I’m Dreaming! Tour the Perfect American Residence

Here is a little residential eye candy to start off the week – a stunning Lake Bluff home that kind of reminds me of the homes we saw on Desperate Housewives! It’s just perfect from the lawn to the trees, windows, and shingles. It is a little girly but I have to admit the lifestyle at this home does come off a little surreal. The landscaping was done very well and the choice of trees for the property was dead-on. The large trees in the foreground are Aristocrat pears that are fairly quick growers and provided lots of shade and greenery throughout the year. The home was painted in plain gray and white but what makes it stand out is the pretty pink flowers framing the balcony and a little around the patio. Who knew a few flowers could bring in so much color?

The Perfect Parisian Apartment

The French know how to live, and that’s evident through their drop-dead gorgeous sense of decorating. This little apartment in the center of Paris has won my heart over. I love the clean lines, and how everything has been kept classic and simple. There is not too much color throughout, but that’s why the designer decided to make an impact with an oversized work of art in the living room and a sparkling chandelier in the dining room. Take a look:
