Décor Eye Candy – Feast on These 11 Fabulous Spaces

Everyone likes to dream a little when they imagine their dream home, luscious garden, picture perfect view, or even their luxurious backyard pool. Whatever you dream about this weekend, you can take tips and ideas from these 11 fabulous spaces I’ve collected throughout the week. Most of these spaces have a few things in common: unexpected elegance with a hint of old-world décor. You can tell the designers love a modern look, but also like to keep it traditional by incorporating re-furbished antiques and delicate detailing on pillows, curtains, and upholstering.

So what’s their secret? If your dying to get this look at home, I have a quick fix: Buy a few antique pieces like an old armoire or Louis XVI chair and refurbish it with modern upholstering and a warm matching color. Try to avoid “of the moment” colors like electric orange or hot fuchsia that tend to go out of style quickly. Warm colors like gold and bronze paired with an antique finish are timeless colors that always look good.

If you feel your space still doesn’t have the “oomph” you are looking for, try creating a daring look to surprise your guests by incorporating wild animal prints. Slipping in an upholstered leopard chair or a vibrant zebra hide can completely change your whole look, making all the difference. Keep in mind that you always need to have one piece to really kick your decorating up a notch. Take a look:
