Grab one basic lamp, a few simple tools and you’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind designer sea shell lamp! This tutorial is so easy and beats paying the hefty price tag these lamps are known to go for. I spotted a pair of these on 1st Dibs for $1,850! Keep reading for the full tutorial.
Materials
- Lamp and shade
- E6000 glue
- Painters tape
- Scissors
- Shells of all sizes
Instructions:
- Work in a well-ventilated area and start gluing your large shells on your lamp first. Once you have a few shells on your lamp, stick painters tape to hold them in place.
2. When the glue is dry, carefully remove the tape and continue taping all the way around, up and down your lamp. Fill in empty spots with the smaller shells.
BDB Tip: Take your time as this lamp may take several days to make! Be patient letting the glue fully dry before taking off the tape.
