Celebrity Home: Inside Donatella Versace’s Apartment

Here are some photos of Donatella Versace’s beautiful two floor apartment in Milan. The home features many colorful and finely detailed empire furnishings, all in a trademark Versace look. The home is far from boring, as Donatella decorated it with unexpected splashes of color, antiques, paintings and boroque wall detailing.

Donatella’s tip: “Just because furniture is big and luxurious doesn’t mean it has to look heavy.  So I chose solid and pastel colors for my furniture.”

Donatella loves a colorful home and doesn’t like the color beige. She admits she could do a sofa in beige but would have to add some hot pink throw pillows. Using a blank canvas such as a plain couch or wall gives you the opportunity to dress it up with colorful pillows, paintings, rugs and other statement pieces that bring the room to life. The photos bellow feature Donatella’s navy room which she says is her secret place to relax, being off limits to guests.
